Essential Information

The Ngunguru School Parent Teacher Association is an active and important part of the school community. One of the key responsibilities of the PTA is organising the fundraising events of the school. These include larger events such as the 4x4, Fireworks Night and Art Auction as well as on-going activities such as the Friday Sausage Sizzle and Chocolate Sales.

Some of these events serve not only as fundraising opportunities but have developed over the years to be integral parts of the school?s social calendar and are looked forward to by everyone associated with school as well as the wider community.

Additionally the PTA aims to provide a key link between home and school and as a member of the New Zealand PTA (www.nzpta.org.nz) receives great support and guidance to further develop this aspect of the organisation.

The PTA committee meets on a regular basis during term time and meetings are advertised in the school newsletter.

There are a number of ways you can become involved the PTA activities, from helping with the Friday Sausage Sizzle once or twice a term, assisting at events or becoming a committee member. We welcome any input that you may offer including any fundraising ideas or other projects.

If you would like to become involved in this active and friendly group or have any further queries, please contact us by e-mail through the school office,

office@ngunguru.school.nz or ask at the school office for contact details or come along to one of the meetings, you will be most welcome. Please be assured your involvement can be as little or as big as you choose.

The Ngunguru PTA relies on your ongoing support and participation to achieve its goals, getting involved is a great way to get to know people and be actively involved in your child's education.
