Welcome to Toheroa 4 -Term 3 2017!
Welcome all new students and parents to Toheroa 4. We have a busy and action packed term ahead and would appreciate any help you can offer. Anything you would like to discuss please contact me as above, or pop in and make an appointment. I look forward to meeting you all and supporting your child's learning Journey in 2017.
This year Mrs Denise Barnes will be working with your terrific children on Tuesdays and alternate Fridays so that I am able to work on my Management role. We are fortunate to also have Mrs Ann McIntosh working in the Junior Team to support Literacy and other programes this year. Mrs Jo Duff will be working with our English as Second Language pupils in Years One and Two as well as other individuals or groups.
ILLNESS
Terms 2 & 3 are often the terms that children start to get ill. Please give your child time to recover when ill by keeping them home to rest. As part of our health programme this term we will be working on hand washing and nose blowing to reduce germs.
PRODUCTION
We will be working with Room 3 on our production item over the coming weeks. We will be performing a Maori Myth or Legend - we are currently watching and reading a few to enable the children to decide which one they prefer.
HOME LEARNING
I would like to have all Home Learning lanyards each Friday so that I am able to up-date these in order to help you understand the goals for your children. I have already added some new pages to your child's Home Learning notebook. Please feel free to contact me if you have any queries or write a note inside the notebook.
Please check out the Parent and Teacher calendar app in the newsletter so that you can check dates for events this term as well as let us know if your child is absent rather than calling the school.
SEESAW
I have enjoyed supporting your children to share their learning through the Seesaw app. If you haven't joined yet I suggest that you pop in to see me so that we can sort this for you. I am able to add other family members for you who may live elsewhere in the country or overseas so please feel free to send me their email details.
