Kina 5

Tēnā koutou katoa!

I would like to warmly welcome you all to Kina 5.

This term we will be trying new things and tackling some interesting challenges.  We will be learning to build relationships with others to learn digital citizenship and music, supported by Sistema Whangarei, and Year 9 students from Whangarei Girls High School. This begins with a visit to WGHS, the date is to be confirmed for the week of 25th February.

Whaea Heidi Gray joins us with Earth Ed, as we explore wetland and freshwater habitats. Our first field trip is on 20-21st February at Old Mill Lane. Please join us on these discoveries, as we need parent ‘s to support and transport our tamariki.

The most important partnership for your child’s learning is the link between home and school. So if you haven’t already, please come and see where your child spends their day. Ask them to show you around before or after school. You are welcome to join us on our learning journey.

“Read to” or “Read with” your child every day.

I hope your child returns home each day happy and retelling exciting stories of their day.

Nga mihi nui,

Tessa Heswall
