Tena koutou katoa!
Welcome back to Kina 5. A warm welcome to new student, Jaxsyn. Everyone should be so proud of their learning over Term 2, a huge effort. Well done!
In Term 3, we will be challenging ourselves daily to talk about our learning. We will be listening to others, asking questions and explaining what we are thinking, using Albert Einstein’s idea that you don’t really know something until you can explain it to others.
A big focus for this term is the famous Ngunguru School Drama production. Kina 5 is working with Paua 6. Think Taniwha, oceans colliding with plenty of magical elements. We can’t do this without you. There are lots of ways you could help. We need builders for set and prop construction, dance choreographers, costume creators. We are flexible with time, we can work with you, when you are available. However, afternoons are a great place to start.

The most important partnership for your child’s learning is the link between home and school. So if you haven’t already, please come and see where your child spends their day. Ask them to show you around before or after school. You are welcome to join us on our learning journey.
“Read to” or “Read with” your child every day.
I hope your child returns home each day happy and retelling exciting stories of their day.
